Low key, Chucky Cheese Weekend!

We had such a great low key weekend. I always love weekends like these where the house becomes spotless, the laundry is caught up, I actually have time to take warm baths & relax, the bed gets made, & even being able to just be in my jammies & watch a movie with my husband. Don't get me wrong, I love being a busy gal, but I appreciate the quiet moments in, just as much! Between more Birthdays, a baby shower next weekend, & an upcoming house warming we are throwing for my sister in law, I have more than enough to keep me busy in the coming months so every chance I get to chill, I am taking it!

Speaking of house warming, we are doing a fun party for my brother & his wife coming up & we did the invite in chandeliers! Don't you just love this yummy green? Tiffany is obsessed with fun greens & her formal dining room is in a fun green, so we thought this was very appropriate. Here is the invite that we sent out to their close friends & family, I can hardly wait to start the decorating for this fun party we are hosting in their new home.

By Saturday night we were ready to get Avery out a bit. She had been in all day so we wanted to let her play so we called our sister in law & told her & my niece to come too. I have to be honest, I was nervous because I haven't always been a huge fan of Chucky Cheese because of the madness & kids/people everywhere but they had a kids area for her age & it was actually perfect. Her & Stella road rides & had a blast! Honestly, us adults had fun too!

Today Chad's parents had lunch at their house! Chad's Mom always has a Birthday dinner for Birthday's so we celebrated Chad & my niece Kelsey's Birthday together. It was a great day with family!

It was so warm today so I got a few pictures of Avery in her little capri pants with no socks, she loves days like these.

My beautiful niece...

We enjoyed being outside in the nice weather & got a little taste of spring.

Chad got some great cards with money for his Birthday because he has been wanting to stock up on his golf stuff before the season starts. Happy Birthday honey!

We had our Dave Ramsey class tonight with our church group & it was amazing! Chad & I are learning so much to apply in our marriage, and also in how to teach Avery to save, give & spend as she gets older. I love learning new things to apply in our day to day life & also to be able to teach in our children's lives too. It is really helping me to grow & strengthening so many areas of our marriage as well. I feel blessed.

And here is to a wonderful week!

Focus Group/ Books!

Today was a very busy day! Ave went to school & my Dad picked her up because I attended a focus group at my sister in law's work all afternoon. My friend Amy attended with me. We sat around a table for 90 minutes and discussed the "likes & dislikes" of children books etc... while being video taped, at a company that my sister in law works for. It was really exciting & neat to be a part of & I really enjoyed being able to put my opinion in on a product that may or may not be big in stores! I'm anxious to see what things they come up with and the books they come out with in the coming months! I am so excited that I was able to be a part of this & really enjoyed spending time with my sister in law's company & their focus group. She has an awesome job & is a perfect fit for it! I felt lucky to be a part of it & thankful that she asked me to participate. Love ya Missy! Thank you for this fun opportunity!

I took a picture of my sister in law, me, & Amy after the session.

Speaking of books, during the session we discussed our favorites! This is one of my all time favorite children books. Do you have a fav? If so, please share!!!

My cousin, sister in law Kara, & a few other gals decided to meet up for dinner this evening for some fun conversation & girl chat...

It's been a great day/week & I am really looking forward to a low key weekend with my family!

Birthday Celebrations!

February, March, April, May, & June all bring alot of celebrating for our friends & family. It seems like my entire family has a Birthday between those months along with all my friends. I am a huge fan of celebrating Birthday's. It comes only once a year, why not enjoy it & have a reason to celebrate!? I am ALL about celebrating life! After all, we are celebrating another year that the good Lord has blessed us with- right??

Yesterday was Chad's 34th Birthday!!! (He says that he is only 24, ha)! We spent the day in Tulsa Monday getting him fitted for some wedges for golf. He is a huge golfer & does everything he can to make his game better, so we started off the season right with some new goodies! Last night we enjoyed a nice evening at Carraba's with both of our families to celebrate & had a yummy dinner. I love how our parents are close! Birthday desert was special requested from a local place that we love called, "Fred's Hickory", where we also spent Valentines Day. They made him a fresh homemade cheesecake.

We will be also celebrating with his family on Sunday so I will be posting some more pictures then. Chad's Mom always has a great dinner Birthday celebration at her home for the kids. We will be celebrating our niece Kelsey's Birthday then too!

Along with Chad's Birthday was also our friend Serenity's Birthday! Us girls decided to get together & throw her a little lunch Birthday at our friend Amy's house. Serenity is also 16 weeks pregnant & looking amazing! She hasn't felt the best the past few months dealing with morning sickness so we thought what better way to cheer her up & make her smile to throw her a Birthday lunch!

The kids enjoyed playing while us Mommas enjoyed a nice lunch at the Birthday table Amy created for Serenity! Serenity even had her on "Birthday plate". It was super cute & a great day!

Surprise Baby Shower!

I have a wonderful group of girls that I blog with in my area that I have grown closer to over the past 2 years. We always try to make dates throughout the months whether it be lunch with the kids, (oh my), dinner or even a movie! Since our friend Kelly is having her baby girl soon we thought we would turn what she thought was a "dinner" date into a surprise baby shower dinner! We all got her a cake & a few fun gifts for baby Hollis.

Enjoy the pictures of our fun night celebrating!

Tomorrow is my hubbies Birthday!!!! We spent the day today out of town in Tulsa getting him some new golf clubs. He was really excited! I didn't even take pictures, imagine that! HA! He spent most of the day in a golf store getting fitted while I ran around with Avery at some stores that we don't have in our area. It was a great day. I love spending time with him in the car chatting! Happy early BDAY honey!
