Show Us Your Life- Nursery!
I am WAY late on doing my post on "Show us your Life- Nursery" at Kelly's Korner so I decided to post today! I love this post because Avery's room is my absolute favorite spot in our home! It's so bright & colorful.
When I found out I was having a girl I immediately decided I wanted something crazy & loud. It fits my personality and now totally fits who Avery is! ;) I hired a lady to make all of my bedding, pillows, curtains, etc. I picked out all of the materials & we met up to discuss what I wanted. She did an amazing job!
Welcome to Avery's room! We used this at her 1st Birthday & decided to hang it above the door as you enter into her room.

I wanted a special verse above her crib & had a lady in our town that is SUPER talented paint this for me. I picked out the design & she painted it in 1 hour! I was super impressed, & pleased!

I went with several different colors in her bed: Zebra, leopards, green's, turquoises, oranges & pinks! I wanted the bed skirt to flow on the floor & look sassy!

Aww, the chandelier. Something I didn't think I would find to make me happy. When I spotted this I went crazy. Had.to.have.it! Made the room. We painted the piece up top to pop on the green ceilings.

This area is a special area to me. My best friend used the zebra board with pictures at my baby shower so I decided to reuse it at Avery's 1st Birthday & then thought I would hang it since it meant so much to me. I love looking at all the pictures when I go in her room. The piece beside it was light pink & we spray painted it black. I loved the design on it & they didn't have any other color. On it are some special wood angels my sister in law bought me when I found out I was pregnant & again before I had Avery. They mean alot to me!

My dear friend Melissa had these pictures made for me for my shower. I framed my favorite ultrasound pictures of Avery in them.

We used the arrangement below them at her 1st Birthday party. My goal was to have something made we could reuse for spring/summer parties, but also for her room afterwards. The stand it is sitting on was $10.00 at a yard sale. We spray painted it black.

I fell in LOVE with my curtains. I was worried because I am so visual & need to see it all together, but when I picked out what I wanted I just knew it would end up flowing nicely. My mom made the knobs that the curtains are hanging from. They turned out exactly how I wanted them!
The bench sitting below the window was from a garage sale. My mother in law bought it & gave it to me. I had it covered in the same material as her bedding & curtains. And the price for it- $15.00!

I could not decide what I wanted for a changing table/dresser. I found this one for $80.00 at an antique store in our area. I changed out the knobs & added a cute sign to the front. I have alot of sentimental pieces on & around this.

My Mom made this for Avery. She used extra fabric left over from her bedding & spray painted the frame. I keep all of my important memorable things on this board like first doctor appts, first cute shoes that I loved, a card from Chad in the hospital, etc.

These next 2 pieces were given to me from a friend at my baby shower. She hand painted this & designed it to match perfectly in Avery's room. It's so pretty & I love looking at it everyday!

The same friend also made this for her bows. I just died when I first saw it & love it!

Mom came up with the letters above her closet. I couldn't seem to get the right paint I wanted so she came up with the idea to cover them with scrap book paper & hang them with ribbon. This seriously cost under $15.00 & took less than 30 minutes to make! We just cut some paper & glued!

I hope you have enjoyed the tour of my diva's fun crazy room! Happy Thursday!
PS- Speaking of baby girls & rooms, CONGRATS TO KELLY on her news of having a baby girl- HOLLIS! I am beyond excited for my friend! =)

Lunch & Halloween Decorating!
After breakfast this morning I heard Avery say, "Mummy, poo poo"... I ran into the bathroom & she was standing like this. I grabbed my camera, (which is ALWAYS by me these days), & snapped it! Hilarious. Needless to say the toilet paper in the guest bathroom is gone gone.

We got dressed & she was playing so cute on her little toys that I decided to snap some pictures of her. Avery is quite the dare devil these days & thinks she is SO big. She tries to stand on everything, without hands!

After playing all morning we decided to run a few errands & bring Poppa some lunch. My Dad is about to be off work for several months because they close his business for the winter. So, we took one last lunch to him today & enjoyed every second with him. He is one of my best buds. I love him so much. We enjoyed spending time with Avery together & making her laugh.

Some of our friends are having a huge Halloween Party Friday night! She asked if I would help her decorate so I brought some of my goodies & several of us girls went crazy putting our heads together decorating! We love this time of the year & any excuse to get dressed up. I can't wait for the party Friday I will have some fun
pictures.
For now, here is one of the tables & some fun pictures of us playing.

Avery's Halloween party is tomorrow. I made some goodies & got some cupcakes for her little friends in class. I can't wait for her to have a fun day at school tomorrow crafting & spending time with her buddies.

Fall Pictures & Wreath Update
Sunday afternoon we took Avery out to take her fall pictures. Chad & I have been enjoying our camera so much that we decided it is more fun for us to take the seasonal pictures of her. I will probably get a professional shot everynow & then but for now, I am enjoying doing it myself SO much. I love the Nikon D3000. That is what we have & it's been my favorite gift ever from him. Thanks honey!

We enjoyed the day inside. It was alot cooler today but I could tell Ave wasn't feeling good because she kept snuggling on my lap all morning. So we decided to have a play day inside. She enjoyed playing in my bracelets, going on the front porch so I could get a picture of her, coloring, & painting a pumpkin. I am doing crafts with her all this week since it's HALLOWEEN WEEK! She had so much fun & we surprised Chad when he got home from work.

ALSO, quick update on my wreaths! I have gotten way more e-mails than I can keep up with, which I LOVE LOVE LOVE! However, the orders are getting so out of hand & so many so fast that I have decided to set up an ETSY shop. I now have a page I just need to get some product on there. I am working quickly so stay tuned as I will be responding the best as I can as the e-mails come through. I will have the ETSY product on my page VERY soon so you can purchase for Christmas. For now, here is a fun bright wreath I made for a friend for Christmas & she requested peacocks in it. I will be in touch- thank you for your patience & sweet e-mails!
