Fun Hobbies!

One of my favorite things to do over the past year is craft! I love trying new things, making things up, and even finding pieces I have to add a glitz/glamour too! I have been making tutus for awhile now ever since my friend taught me, mainly for Avery but have started to have tons of people ask me to make them for them. On top of tutus I have been loving making bows. I have been getting major bored with the gerber bows, (even though they are precious), I have wanted to make bows for Avery and do new things that are different that go with her outfits and that are more personalized! So I have been experimenting and learning to sew certain pieces etc...

Another one of my fun hobbies is making personalized frames for my friends. I love doing it and it's super easy! It fun because I can add my own personal touch! I just recently made one for my niece who is to arrive anytime now- STELLA!

Before Avery was born I wanted to make her letters but didn't want them painted because the colors weren't turning out the way I wanted them... so I made them myself and came up with a brilliant idea!

Stay tuned... first my blog is getting a makeover... and then I will slowly start having some price points on bows/tutu's/letters. I don't plan on making the frames to sale, but will do the others. I have already had several offices around my area tell me they would allow me to sale a few of my items in their offices so I plan to start a little "small" side business that I hope will begin booming. More than anything, I do this for Avery and it gives me something to do when I am alone all day by myself... BUT, if I can make some money while I am doing it honey, HECK YA! Enjoy my pics, here are just a few!

2 month old diva

Well... Avery is finally 2 months old. . .

I am so stoked about how fun she has become over the past week! She is smiling like crazy and noticing so many people's different voices, faces, and objects! Her favorite thing to do is stare at the fan. She loves it. The past few days I have layed her in her crib with a little baby doll that we got her at Target and she just stares and it and sometimes coo's/laughs. It's her new favorite friend. She has really started to kick and before you know it this girl will be rolling over. She loves to lay on her back and stretch those little chubby legs out! Her looks are starting to become much more defined and everyday I see her Daddy when I look into those blue eyes. They are dark so I'm thinking they MAY turn hazel like mine. I would love for her to keep the blue though. Her eyelashes are growing like a weed and are starting to turn a light brown... along with patches in her hair. I'm thinking she is going to be a brunette with blue eyes...We have also began tummy time on our little mat and she loves looking up and listening to her toys play music.
Avery is such a great baby and such a joy to be around. She hardly cries and if she does she is hungry, wet, cold, or gassy. Otherwise she is always happy and loving her new life with her Mommy & Daddy.

Life is so good right now. This is the happiest that I ever thought I could be and count my blessings each day. I never dreamed of being a stay at home mom and everyday gets better than the day before. Thank you Lord Jesus for this miracle job!!!!

Pandora Bracelet and SMILES!

On the way home from work Chad normally calls me to tell me he has left the office and sometimes we end up talking about our day even his whole drive home. Last night was one of those nights and as he pulled up I ran out to greet him as I normally do when I hear the garage door open. He had a huge grin on his face and pulled out a bag. Of course I had a huge one on mine! He proceeded in and handed it to me and I opened it.... it was a Pandora bracelet that I have REALLY been wanting. I asked the occasion and of course because he is the GREATEST hubby ever he said, "Just because". . . . Here is a little history:

First, my sister in law Tiff that is one of my best friends has been collecting sentimental things for me here lately during big events of my life. She told me a few weeks ago that she was really wanting to start collecting this bracelet and that we should do it together so we have something for big events of our lives to always remember! So last week we went to the mall and looked at them and studied the pieces and talked to the lady about them and their value. We tried on the ones we liked and got sized for them.

Pandora originates in Denmark. The reason my bracelet is plain right now is because you add charms to it and in the end it will be full of sentimental value! They have all kinds from little baby passies to hearts symbolizing love. You name it they have it. And it comes in sterling silver/gold/colors... They are so fun! I am just so blessed that I finally have this piece and can start my collection of charms for each stage of my life! No better time than now!

Today I ran to Wal-mart and got groceries! It was slow and the store was so clean and organized so I whipped in there and out. Avery did great and was smiling most of the time. She has become quit the little personality lately and coo's at everything and smiles at anything! She is the most special thing! Tomorrow she is 2 months so I will have a blog all ready for her with more pics... look at this face!!!!

Finally, the rest of my home!

Happy Monday blogger friends!!! I got a little too much sun yesterday, can you tell?

Every morning Avery and I wake up out of bed and play! I sit her in her boppy pillow and she just looks around the room and coo's and smiles. It's the sweetest most precious cherrished time for me that I look forward to each morning with my new buddy!! This morning she was looking so cute in her ducky night gown and socks, I had to snap this! I even caught a smile!

Okay friends... with living the life of a busy mommy I haven't had time to actually take pictures of my rooms and post them! Over at Kelly's Korner she did a post several weeks back where we had to show certain areas of our home each Friday. So here is a few that I missed!

First stop, the office. This is where I spend a majority of my days. Blogging and searching the net.. of course when I am not out and about! This room isn't done yet. I am working on getting curtains in this room over the next few weeks, and have quite a few things of Chad's that need framed at Hobby Lobby and placed on the walls. I have a bunch of signed golf magazines etc... that I need to get matted and framed so all of this is a working progress! Now that I am staying home these are things that will all slowly be done by me through time. Probably over the winter! Oh yeah, this room is also going to be my new craft room! Chad is buying me a table this week that will hold all my bows/ribbon/tool/buttons... you name it!

Next stop is the master bedroom. This room is by far my least favorite in my house because it's the one room we haven't done anything to since we moved in over 3 years ago. I want this to be my "sanctuary" and want to redo it to be the most beautiful serene room in my home, but have to wait a couple more months until we save up for it. I want to have a headboard made out of fabric and possibly do some apple greens... my taste is not normally modern but I'm thinking I want to change this room to be very mod, clean, and crisp! For now, it's cozy and comfy!

Then there is our master bath. Chad recently added a glaze on top of our paint that was already there, for a new fresh fun look! In the picture it looks dark and really swirly but in person it looks amazing. My hubby is really good at that kind of stuff! He did an awesome job. We love our master bath... I love my big garden tub. I take a nice warm relaxing bath EVERY night. I don't miss a night. I hate getting into bed feeling dirty.

Our entry is simple but larger than I had expected for the size of our home. I really like it, it's very quaint... My next purchase for this room is a rod iron coat rack for the corner.

Our dining room isn't used very often. I wish this room could somehow be closed off into an office but we don't plan on staying in this house too long once we have our second child so we will wait. I love this room because of the bright color red! I love the massive painting that I have on the wall. I got that for Christmas one year! I'm not crazy about my table any longer and after I really started decorating my home would have picked something different... but it works! We have probably only sat at it 5 times with company and all!

Laundry room.. is where I spend alot of my time. Therefore I have a crown right between the washer and dryer. I felt like I needed a pick me up especially now that I am a stay at home mommy/wifey and most my days are doing laundry of some sorts! So, it reminds me that I am the "queen" of the household... ha!

Hope you have enjoyed the remaining rooms of my home that you haven't yet seen. The living room/babies room/kitchen are in my blog somewhere probably in April/May so check it out! Of course my baby room is by far my favorite!!!!

Teeny Tots- AVERY

Today was the annual Teeny Tots contest in our town for all the little kiddos. Once a year there is a small festival held at our town's park with lots of singing, games, food, and fun! We decided to enter Avery for fun! She did so great and opened her eyes right before! There were 3 girls in the 0-5 age group and an adorable little 5 month old ended up winning! She was so cute! I was so proud of Avery although she didn't win... But we praise Jesus when we win or lose! It was just a good excuse to get her all dolled up pretty!

Both Chad and I's family came and we all hung out, took tons of pictures, and enjoyed spending time with with Avery! My sister in law Kara is pregnant and due literally in 2 weeks! Stella is about to make her appearance into the family and I will be an Aunt for the first time! Get ready because I will have a big blog on my neice!

Afterwards me and Tiff went to eat at Firehouse and then to the mall for shopping. I just laugh at Firehouse how they yell when you walk in the door. It's so funny! We then made our way to the mall and shopped for a couple of hours. Tiffany got the CUTEST pair of jeans at Franchescas... SO JEALOUS! They are adorable!

Enjoy all our fun pics from our perfect little Saturday!

Is this not the most precious smile?
