Finding some red in all the WHITE to come!

So along with all of the red you are about to see, I can't believe we are about to get a ton of white! You heard it... They are calling for a "Winter Blast" in our area. We are expected to get about an inch or more of ice, & anywhere from 6-14 inches of snow. I don't know that I am all that excited, especially because we just spent the whole weekend outside in beautiful 75 degree weather. Wow- that is Arkansas weather for you!



I did however stock up. We hit Wal-mart yesterday & it was craziness. People were everywhere as if the world was coming to an end, gathering up food they probably won't even eat. It is so funny how no one will crack a smile. They are truly on one mission & it's to get "snow food". I just wanted to get out of there to be honest- WHEW!

This was the ice storm we had in 2009 when I was pregnant with Avery.



I can't believe that tomorrow is February! I can't complain though because I think "heart" month is one of my favorites! I love nothing more than all the pinks & reds, sweets, smiles, & fun! I have had my Valentine decor up for several weeks now, (yes, I know- ridiculous)! I have been adding some things & thought I would share my breakfast room table first. I am going to be showing a few pictures of all my fun decor every few days until the 14th. My theme is kind of around feathers this year & they are everywhere in all of my goodies. I love it!

Then I added the feathers to complete the look!




I just loved my fun heart plates from Target to complete my place settings. The hearts on the table are also from Target, the $1.00 shop!




In front of each glass is a cute Valentine "saying"...






In each glass there is a cute pink bucket with some heart ribbon along with some fun hot pink & light pink feathers sticking out. I thought it made it look sassy!



In the background of the table you can see some fun heart shaped window clings on the door. This is Avery's favorite thing to play with & something fun we can put up together. It added a cute touch.

So here is to another great month in 2011! Happy FEBRUARY 1st from my little sassy pants!

SUN + WARM = HAPPY!

This weekend was my absolute favorite in a long time. Simply because it was 75 degree's here Friday & Saturday!!! It was amazing & all I wanted to do was be outside both days; we pretty much were.

First, Thursday evening I invited my sister in law's over for dinner. Chad had a guy night so I made spaghetti & we stayed in & watched the girls play. Earlier that day my mom brought over a slide she had bought Avery so we put it together so the girls could play. Seriously, you would think Santa came again. They played on this all night long! Avery hasn't been off of it since. She even sends Sushi, (her passy), down it & says, "WEEEE"! I laugh every time.







Friday was a play date with my friend Amy & her 2 boys, Maddox & Cruz. She invited us over to enjoy some lunch & fun outside. When we arrived the boys gave Avery an early Valentine present- a little boots doll. It was the cutest thing! Avery loves Dora so boots is one of her favorites too! (She hasn't put it down since)... We had a ball watching the kids play before lunch!





Lunch time was adorable, they almost looked like they were on a little date. We had to take some cute pictures!




After lunch we all decided to go play outside. Amy & I enjoyed sitting in the 70 degree weather chatting it up on the porch while the kids played in the yard. They had so much fun together, and so did us Mommas!





It was time for good-bye's so Avery tried to kiss sweet Maddox, he wasn't having it!



You didn't have to tell Cruz twice! So sweet!



Friday evening our friend Monica had a group get together to hang out since her boyfriend was in town from California. We had such a fun time, it was so nice meeting him, he is the perfect match for her & is super friendly!






Saturday the weather was PERFECT again, but even warmer. So at 75 degree's we decided to hit Chick Fil A for lunch with Auntie K & cousin Stella! Afterwards we made our way to the park & made an afternoon of it. It was packed!










Chad enjoyed spending time with some buddies golfing while we were at the park & then it was time for date night! I love date nights with my hubb. We decided to go casual & hit an early movie. Afterwards we enjoyed dinner & then a fun evening of ice skating! I was super excited although I fell on my knee's & bruised them up pretty bad. Chad had a good laugh though, I am glad I could make him smile! HA!

Chad is so special to me. He always tries to please me & make me happy. Being with him is the greatest gift from God. I couldn't remember the last time we were just able to sit in a movie & giggle & hold hands. I kind of felt like we were dating again. I love those warm feelings he always gives me all over again & again. Now that we have Avery everything is just somehow where it's supposed to be & I wouldn't change a thing. It's feels like after having a baby we are able to start "dating" again since we don't get to often enough. We are always so occupied with her at home & there isn't a lot of time for "us". There is something special about smiling to each other sharing stories of how happy we are with each other & planning upcoming goals/trips as a family!

Sunday evening was a nice low key relaxing dinner at my parents house.





What is next? February! I can't wait! I have some fun Valentine decor up & a party to get ready for on Saturday. Last year I had a big Valentine game party so I thought it would be fun to do again this year so we are busy getting ready!

And guess what? We are in a huge ice/snow warning for this week & expected to get some BAD weather. Seriously, after all of this 75 degree weather? They are calling for bad ice & up to 10 inches of snow! I stocked up at Wally World today & we are ready! Bring it!
