Happy Halloween!

I enjoyed getting Avery all geared up for Halloween today!  Her "princess butterfly" outfit was all ready for her to put on this evening.

But first, today we enjoyed spending some time together getting goodies at Wal-mart & going to the park!

Her Nanny, Papa & Mamee came over to see her while she was getting her outfit on!

We got ready & headed over to my brother & Tiffany's house to Trick or Treat!

Avery loves her Uncle & Aunt.   We are so blessed to have family on both sides in so many ways.  We have so many great Uncle & Aunts that love our Avery.  It makes this Mommy smile... BIG!

It will be so neat to take little Hudson with us  Trick or Treating.  He will almost be a year old this time next year!  I can't wait to share the same joy that my brother & his wife have shared with our little one, with them next year with my nephew!

Avery walked up to every door with a light on & said, "Trick or Treat" & said "thank you" after each drop of candy.  It really melted my heart.



Sleepy butterfly princess after a long fun day of Halloween & Trick or Treating for lots of sweets!  To be honest, after all the candy I gave her I thought she would be wired all night!

It was so late by the time we got back into town that we didn't get to see sweet Stella, my adorable niece.  Avery was already so tired!  But how cute is my adorable niece in the costume that my sister in law Kara made!!!???  I love this girl!!!!

Fall Weekend

Alot of fun things have been going on, especially gearing up for Halloween!  Last week was crazy with Avery's Halloween party at school, a hair appointment for me, doctor's appointment for Avery, visiting a friend that just had a baby... my schedule was just nuts!

Avery & I spent most of our afternoons inside at home.  It rained a few days & the temps dropped a ton so we really enjoyed being inside with the candles lit, lamps on, & being around all the festive Halloween goodies!  I made dinner 3 nights in the crock pot so that was so cozy smelling up the house each day, which just made me want to be home!  

I made this yummy soup for my friend Kim who just had a baby & took it to her on Thursday.  I loved visiting her & taking a few pictures of baby Preston.  He is just adorable!

My sister in law came too since Kim is her bestie!!  I had to get a few pictures of her with her adorably cute belly.  My nephew will be here in 3 weeks.  I'm just on cloud 9 thinking about it & can't hardly wait.  I get teared up everytime I think about seeing his face for the first time.  Doesn't Tiff look AMAZING!?

Friday I had lunch with 2 very sweet friends of mine Amy & Amanda.  We enjoyed a nice quiet lunch without our kids & got to catch up on life & giggle like always.  Amanda brought us both little soaps from Bath & Body Works & gave them to us as a surprise.  She has one of the most giving hearts of anyone I know.  We were tickled & enjoyed pigging out on bad things for our Friday treat!  We got so busy that I didn't even catch a picture!  

Afterwards Avery & I made our way home & put her in her Halloween costume so that we could go trick or treat at Aunt Sassy's work.  I wasn't feeling the dressing up this year!  I love to be crafty & creative but for some reason this year I wanted her to really wear what she wanted & felt.  She kept saying butterfly so on a trip to Target she found this cute little butterfly princess outfit- SOLD!  She looks so grown up in it, it makes me sad!   

She got so much candy at Tiffs work, I think I am paying for it today from eating it all weekend!

So other fun stuff going on over the weekend.... Saturday we got up early & went shopping all day.  As you have seeing previous posts Chad has lost 20 lbs & is really changing his body through a program called CrossFit.  I can't believe how awesome he looks & is now in a size 34 pant from a 38!  We bought him so awesome new fun clothes & the cutest jeans called, "Rock Revival". He is styling for sure & I'm eating him up!

Saturday night we had a work function to go to with Chad's work.  We went & ate at an amazing restaurant in Fayetteville & enjoyed wine with his team.  We really enjoyed being out & getting to see people dressed up for Halloween being silly!!!

Have any of you seen the movie, "Courageous"?  My Dad took our entire family to see it today & I BALLED through the entire movie.   I feel so truly blessed to have been raised with an amazing Dad & I think every Father needs to see this movie & how powerful it is!  WOW!!!!!

In other great news, my good friend Melissa has announced that she is having another BOY!!!  We are just so excited for them, 2 brothers will just have SO much fun together!  I'm so thankful for their friendship!  I can't wait to follow another pregnancy journey with her!

We are so exited for Halloween we can hardly stand it!!!!  Happy Halloween Friends!

This evening I took some adorably sweet pictures of my friend Mary & her cute hubby to be, Michael- & their daughter Hannah. I was so excited for them, the pictures were just too sweet! Here are a few to share...



Today before pictures I got my hair done & went DARK! I love the color.  Lots of chocolate mixed with auburn underneath.  I don't want to chop my hair until next fall so I have been adding lots of fun color throughout the year for change!  I fell in love!!!

Tomorrow is Avery's Halloween party at school & I am going to see my friend Kim's new baby boy who is almost 2 weeks old!  Great day planned!

Busy Momma Busy!

Can you say hello to the worst blogger in the world lately?  It's crazy how I feel like I haven't blogged in forever.  I went from blogging daily to barely once a week.  I don't plan on it staying this way but for now, lately anyway, I have really been trying to hoan in on the important things in my life.  I have really been focusing on Avery alot during the day & when I'm on the computer or downloading pictures daily I have been finding myself spending hours upon hours at the computer.  I'm hoping to dive back in alot more than I have been but for now, I have been eating up every second of this nice weather outside with Avery before winter comes! =)

When she isn't busy playing at the park or running around making messes, she is just wanting to be with her Momma & paint, constantly!  Look at those sweet boots!

My weekend started Friday, I went with some friends to a little shopping event!  It was fun, we enjoyed appetizers & good convo!  I love these 2 sweet girls, they are precious!

Saturday was our sweet neighbor friend Georgia Kelley's 2nd Birthday Party.  We are so blessed with amazing neighbors.  Her Momma, Amanda, is one of my good girlfriends!

Avery had so much fun at this birthday party running through the patch with her pumpkin!  It was a great day!

Saturday evening we enjoyed taking Avery to get her Halloween costume!  She is going to be a butterfly princess.  She picked it out & pretty much named it, hilarious! After shopping I came home & set the table for dinner the next day.  I invited my parents over for lunch after church on Sunday.  I feel like with the business of life it's been forever since I have had any family or friends over so I am trying once a week to get everyone over before the Holidays.

Finally to wrap up our weekend, I took maternity pictures of my brother & his wife Sunday evening.  I took over 400 but edited 80 really good ones.  Here are a few, I will need to do a post on all of them because there are too many. 

I love photography.  I truly feel like God has given me the gift for seeing things & being able to do them, (like decorating & doing parties),  but for some reason photography isn't a desire of mine.  I truly ENJOY taking pictures for fun only of my family & friends, but that is it.  I love to share them, there is such an art to it.  I have had several people ask me if I was going to do it for a business but the answer is no. I am truly afraid if I started it, I would regret doing it because of the passion I have in it by doing it totally for fun!  I guess you could say it's a hobby!

{My nephew will be in here in just a few short weeks, I'm dying to show you this baby room}!!!!

And with the craziness of life I can't believe I left out our fun pumpkin patch weekend last weekend with Chad's family!  I will post that this week for sure.. for now here is a cute pic of my niece & Ave!  They are to precious!
